Background: Nanotechnology has a myriad of applications in dental materials, diagnosis and therapeutics. Nanorobots are controllable microscopic devices measured in nanometres. Their application in medicine holds a wealth of promise from eradicating diseases to reversing the ageing process and are also candidates for industrial applications. Nanotechnology has the potential to revolutionize dentistry to diagnose and treat diseases. It will change human life, dentistry and healthcare more profoundly than many developments of the past. Nanorobots greatly improve the synthesis of new materials with advanced properties, information, production technology, medical applications and transportation. This comprehensive review article highlights the importance of nanorobots, not only in dentistry but also in the up-gradation of human life.
Keywords: Nanorobotics, nanotechnology, nanorobots.
