Background: This study was designed to assess the level of dental anxiety among undergraduate dental students using Corah’s dental anxiety scale (CDAS) among university students enrolled at Sri Aurobindo College of Dentistry. Materials and Methods: Across-sectional questionnaire study was conducted among 270 undergraduate students of Sri Aurobindo College of Dentistry. CDAS was used in the study, in the form of a questionnaire containing data on gender, age, and year of study. Results: A total of 256 dental graduates consisting of 200 females and 56 males with mean age of 20.9 years participated in the study. According to the Dental Anxiety Scale, high or severe level of dental anxiety was seen in only 10% of students. Increased anxiety level of 2nd BDS students was recorded. There was no statistically significant difference in anxiety levels among the male and female participants. Conclusion: Dental anxiety in dental students is relatively high and decreases progressively as they pass through the clinical years. Anxiety before treating patients is relatively high for the 1st time. As dental students are future health-care providers, it is important that they learn techniques to help them manage their own dental anxiety
