Abstract

Background:  The emergence of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) has led to a global pandemic and one of the most significant challenges to the healthcare professionals, particularly to dental healthcare professionals. The clinical manifestations among children appear to be milder yet varied, which are still being collated. The purpose of this essay is to report current data on the paediatric population afflicted with COVID-19 and highlight considerations for dentists providing care for children during this pandemic and the changing perception of Paediatric Dental Practice.
