Abstract

Background:  Xerostomia can make the wearing of dentures very uncomfortable. To overcome this problem, techniques are developed to incorporate reservoirs within the dentures, with varying degrees of success. The present article is a case report of a patient suffering from Xerostomia, successfully treated by a reservoir denture with a modified technique. This split-denture could lubricate oral tissues efficiently and also was easily cleansed by the wearer.
