Background: In this current era of dentistry, widespread use of dental implants in partially and completely edentulous patients has brought about a need for an accurate implant imaging technique to depict the bone, contour and location of vital anatomical structures by proper radiographic examination. Many imaging modalities are available for imaging the implant site. Hence look for the advantages and disadvantages of the required technique depending on the case and the clinician’s judgement to interpret the image acquired. Different imaging technique which will be broadly discussed in this review that best suits for the different clinical situation.
