Background: Our aim was to investigate prevalence and factors associated with perceived hearing loss amongst dental practitioners. The dental staff is continuously exposed to noise produced by suction tubes, turbines, ultrasonic scalers, compressors and micro motor/ air rotor hand pieces which may affect their hearing capacity.
