Background: Hairy Tongue is also known as lingua villosa nigra, nigrities linguae, melanotrichia linguae etc. Hairy Tongue mainly affects the dorsum area of Tongue. Differential diagnosis of hairy Tongue includes acanthosis nigricans, oral hairy leukoplakia, pigmented fungiform papillae of the Tongue, pseudo-hairy Tongue.
