Background: Nanotechnology is at the forefront of medical research, and translational medicine is a challenge to both scientists and clinicians. Nanotechnology is manipulation of matter on the molecular and atomic levels. Various avenues in the field of dentistry are being aided with nanotechnology and the future holds great promise. The purpose of this article is to look into the present aspects of Nanotechnology, its current use in various field dentistry, and implications and challenges for the future.
