Background: Different types of wires can be used for retraction in orthodontic tooth movement. Aim & objectives: To assess the effectiveness of TMA & CNA wire. Material & methods: 10 patients undergoing orthodontic treatment were divided in two groups and orthodontic retraction using TMA wire was done in group 1 and CNA wire was used in group 2. Results: CNA wire using anterior en mass retraction produces better results. Conclusion: anterior retraction was faster with CNA wires.
