Abstract

Background:  Aim of this paper is to analyze the 3D characteristics of impacted mesiodens using Cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT). A retrospective study conducted and only impacted mesiodens were analyzed for shape, size, and position and their effect on adjacent anatomical structures. As early diagnosis & management of impacted supernumerary tooth is important to prevent disorders associated with them like diastema, delayed eruption & odontogenic cysts or tumors. 10 cases of impacted mesiodens are reviewed through CBCT.
