Background: Oral cancer is a significant and a major health concern in developing countries and worldwide. Early detection and treatment of the cancer should be necessary for good prognosis and to increase survival rates. A number of newer advancements were emerged to boost the conventional oral examination procedure for early detection and intervention of oral cancer. The most recent ones are bio-optics.
