Background: Ameloblastic carcinoma is a rare, odontogenic, malignant tumor that has features of ameloblastoma in addition to cytologic atypia with or without metastasis. Very few cases have been mentioned in the review of literature regarding ameloblastic carcinomas. This mostly affects the mandible. Here we present the case of a 32 year old male patient where this was found out as an incidental finding. The article further discusses the investigations done, the treatment modalities and the prognosis. Various treatment modalities are available depending on the site and spread.
Keywords: Ameloblastic carcinoma, metastasis, en bloc resection, prosthetic rehabilitation, malignant ameloblastoma.
