Background: This article reviews the orthodontic consideration for the proper management of luxation and avulsion injuries which requires an understanding of the immediate and short- term response to the involved tissues: the periodontal ligament (PDL), pulp, and alveolar bone. This paper seeks to present a short review of the guidelines for orthodontic management of traumatically injured teeth.
